One thing is certain- Berlin-based solo-artist and bandleader Jan Blomqvist’s sound is unlike any other. His live performances and ability to embody emotion through music has landed him over 350 gigs since the rise of his career. As non-stop buzz about the all-star producer continues to grow, Jan and his team of talented band members are bringing the magic to Montreal, Canada’s Phi Centre, on March 16th, 2018, part of their American Spring Tour.

Born in the 80’s, Jan Blomqvist began exploring his passion for music by forming his first band in a small village located in Saxony, Germany. While he developed his love for singing and playing instruments, Jan studied aerospace technology around the same time when he was introduced to techno. Through combining his vocals and instruments with an apc40 and 5x8Spur-Matrix, he began his journey of producing and performing.

Today, he is everything from a bandleader and solo-artist to all-around star producer. His team of talented band members include Felix Lehmann (piano, production), Christian Dammann (Live-drums, videos), and Ryan Mathiesen (lyrics). Their warm and organic live performances combine melancholic, melodic electro-pop and euphoric minimal techno sounds. After performing at venues in New York, LA, San Francisco, Moscow, Paris, Istanbul, Mumbai, Bangkok, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Brussels, Amsterdam, Athens, Budapest, Beirut, & more, the synergy between Jan and his team is simply magical.

Leading record Labels like Stil vor Talent, Kontor Records, and Armada Music Bundles have been quick to take notice of Jan’s unique talent, making the rise of his career unstoppable. His albums like ‘Remote Control’ and ‘Time Again’ bring fans on a musical journey; hypnotized by his melodies, soulful vocals, and emotional lyrics. As the hype for the rising-star continues to spread, so does the suspense on where Jan will be booked to perform next.

While the date approaches for his debut performance in Montreal, Canada, fans eagerly wait to be infected with ‘the blomqvist sound’, notorious for transforming any dance floor with undeniable passion and raw talent.
