Innellea works darkness and thump in to Parra For Cuva’s ‘Her Entrance’

Fresh off the back of his critically acclaimed three-track EP It’s Us back in April, internationally celebrated German producer Innellea continues his abounding run of recent studio form as he unveils his official ‘Interstellar Remix’ for Parra for Cuva’s iconic 2021 hit record, Her Entrance.

Due for release on Friday, May 21, Parra for Cuva’s wafting and delicate melody is interrupted by Innellea’s dark, acidic thump, which punctures the dreamy hypnotic soundworld through to a digital and mesmerising dystopia. While the original track is an upbeat trance-inspired groove, Innellea dims the warmth by adding his trademark dynamic techno sonics and raw accelerated beats to masterful effect.

Talking about the remix, Innellea commented: “My interpretation of “Her Entrance” was shaped by the desire for extensive and intense club nights. Therefore I decided to adapt the mysterious mood of the original track and to add dynamic hi-hats and driving basslines to create a dancefloor-oriented interpretation.”

Parra for Cuva’s new album Juno contains sounds from around the world yet it was almost entirely produced within the four walls of the artist’s studio in Berlin. That’s the beauty of the 21st century though; one barely has to leave a room to travel far and wide and be inspired by distant places and peoples. Parra for Cuva’s previous highly acclaimed album, Paspatou, already carved a unique position for the artist who brought a truly original sound to electronic music by mixing emotional dance floor experimentations with acoustic and worldly soundscapes. Juno takes this global exploration even further with the influence of seven musicians and their different instruments.

Parra for Cuva – Her Entrance (Innellea’s Interstellar Remix) will be released on Friday, May 21.
