The globally renowned artist Dee Montero returns to his Futurescope imprint this June with a brand new single entitled ‘Echoes’, which includes a slick remix from one of his favourite producers, Fort Romeau.
Adventurous Belfast-born artist Dee Montero has been rising through the electronic music scene in recent years via his expansive material on his Futurescope imprint, in addition to All Day I Dream, Diynamic, Knee Deep In Sound, Anjunadeep and Renaissance. Dee is putting all his focus on Futurescope for 2021. Not just another label but a mantra that combines his love of the retro-futurism and anime style with his electronic and beautifully melodic compositions.
‘Echoes’ sees Dee combine with vocalist Laura Freedland once again as he places focus on his trademark euphoric melodies, pulsating grooves and rubbery synths and bass undulate gracefully. The single includes a remix from London-based producer and Running Back, Live At Robert Johnson and Permanent Vacation affiliate, Fort Romeau, who lays down chugging rhythms and scintillating pads to create an otherworldly atmosphere.
“I’ve been a fan of Fort Romeau’s music since hearing his album on Ghostly in 2012, so it’s an honour to have him remix Echoes,” says Dee. “I love his hypnotic Balearic grooves, which is evident here in this beautifully crafted mix!”
And let’s not forget the original. Dee is optimistic its gleaming grooves will hit the right note on UK dance floors this summer and hopefully even wider afield. “I’m hoping this thing is behind us now so we can get back to enjoying life again. I’m sure it will be a slow transition, but we all deserve a good rave-up this summer!”
