Taken from Siamese’s latest various artists compilation out on 20 May, comprising of club-friendly tracks road-tested over the last couple of months, the powerful yet fragile ‘Kadre’ from Berlin-based Ede manages to be both beautiful and sad at the same time.
Ede said: “In the process of making music, sometimes there is one point where I just start crying and then I know this is a track straight out of my soul – ‘Kadre’ is one of this special and probably the most emotional track I have made so far. The meaning of Kadre is ‘Frame’ and now imagine you are in a room full of empty frames and then imagine this room full of empty frames is a museum – ‘your museum of life’. It represents you, your past, your memories, your feelings, your emotions, your best and your worst moments in life.
And now imagine you can fill the empty frames with whatever comes up to your mind when you are listening to ‘Kadre’. What do you see when you look at this empty frames? Sometimes you can see the sadness in the beauty, or the beauty in the sadness. It’s like this track beautiful but also sad in the same time.”
You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Kadre’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
