Jean Pierre returns to Cuttin’ Headz for ‘Star Struck’, a three-track package of crisp house cuts alongside Ambrxse, Jesse Calosso and AJ Christou.

Raised in Queens NYC, but now residing in the sunny shores of Miami, DJ/producer and label boss Jean Pierre is an artist who lives and breathes music, and his raw passion coupled with natural talent sets him apart from many within the scene. The head of his blossoming Pakate imprint, the New York native is also a central figure within the Cuttin’ Headz family, with a long list of appearances alongside The Martinez Brothers solo and alongside regular partner-in-crime Jesse Calosso. Following up on an impressive twelve months, welcoming appearances at Hï (Ibiza), Space (Miami) and Printworks (London), to name just a few, he makes his return to his home away from home for ‘Star Struck’, linking with Ambrxse, AJ Christou and Calosso for a trio of house delights across the EP.

Title cut ‘Star Struck’ lays the focus on slick percussion from the off as rolling organic drums go to work amongst swirling background melodies, snaking grooves and Ambrxse’s warped vocals for a tension-building yet clean and crisp production made for the terrace. Next, ‘Crazy Nights’ alongside Jesse Calosso is a wonky, off-kilter and eerie track crafted for late night hours, bringing a slice of moodiness To the party, before closing with the driving, punchy sonics of ‘Dimensions (Afterparty Dub)’ alongside Manchester’s AJ Christou.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Star Struck’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
