Title track ‘Men Against Fire’ is a male vocal gem – think if The Beloved started releasing records in 2024. ‘Feromona’ with Hicky & Kalo shifts to organic gear to bring a fitting touch of summer to proceedings; whilst the final 2 tracks dive deep with more than a hint of the current Detroit House revival revving their classy engines. Hicky & Kalo are a DJ and Producer duo born and raised in Montreal, Canada. Both classically trained and having a diploma diploma in electronic music at the University Of Montreal, they have gone on to craft a stellar reputation for their inimitable edge, commitment to the scene, and penchant for deep melodic grooves. The young pair, residents of the famous Stereo Montreal club and founders of budding imprint record label Plaisirs Sonores Records, are now firmly placed among the vanguard in dictating the new sound of the underground melodic scene worldwide.
Most recently, they achieved their first TOP 1 Progressive House Track on Beatport with ‘Voyage,’ their collaboration with Hernan Catttaneo and they signed ‘Distant Memories’ on the renowned Watergate Records.
They also released the ‘Gateway EP’ on Brazilian label Warung Recordings and their track ‘Feromona’ on the legendary Renaissance Records.
